What laser treatments are available?
From treatment for serious conditions to cosmetic procedures, the medical applications of laser technology have expanded greatly over the last few years. At Regenerate, the team offers the following laser treatments:

The provider uses an intense pulsed light (IPL) laser, which provides powerful, focused laser energy that can also improve the appearance of:
- spider veins
- broken blood vessels

- rosacea

How does laser hair removal work?
During a laser hair removal treatment, the laser targets the pigment in the hair follicle, damaging it so it can no longer grow hair.
Because the laser can only treat hair that is in the active growth phase (about one-third of your hair at a given time), most people need 3-7 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, to permanently remove all hair from the treatment area.
The treatment is not painful, and most patients describe the sensation as feeling like a rubber band snap. You may experience some warmth or redness after treatment, but this should subside quickly.
What is an IPL photofacial?
Sometimes called IPL photorejuvenation, an IPL photofacial can treat a number of skin issues. The provider adjusts the laser’s wavelength to address specific issues, including spots, wrinkles, acne, and large pores. The treatment improves blood flow, boosts collagen production, and evens out pigmentation irregularities. A photofacial takes about 30 minutes.
While a photofacial typically addresses skin issues on your face, the IPL laser can also treat skin changes on your hands, neck, or chest.
What is laser skin resurfacing?
During a skin resurfacing procedure, the provider removes damaged skin very precisely, layer by layer. They can target specific areas, such as the skin around your eyes or mouth, or they can treat your whole face.
Skin resurfacing can reduce the appearance of acne scars, even out your pigmentation, and smooth wrinkles and fine lines. As your skin heals, new cells form, giving you a younger, healthier, more vibrant appearance.
You may experience some swelling after your treatment, and the provider may prescribe medication to help manage swelling.
What is body contouring?
The team offers laser body contouring treatments that destroy your fat cells’ structural integrity, making them unable to store fat. Over the next several weeks, your lymphatic system naturally eliminates the damaged cells. Body contouring is a targeted procedure, so the provider may recommend it for a specific area, such as your stomach or thighs.
